On Friday Elizabeth Edwards announced she has a reoccurance of cancer. Like the fighter she is, she will remain on the campaign trail along with her husband.

Yesterday, Tony Snow (Mouth piece for the liars in the White House) announed his cancer has returned.

Does this stretch anyone elses belief in coincidence? If it's true, I'm sorry and wish them the best. But, I have this tick that tells me Tony Snow's announcement was timed to skrunch and wind John Edwards picked up from this story.

True Carnie... It could work both ways. What I'm questioning is the timing of Snow's announcement, since he was in the hospital for a check up more than three weeks ago.

To answer the question, NO, I don't think Snow had anything to do with Edwards. Edwards has about as much potential as Dukakis as a presidential candidate. Sarcasm sometimes is not understood...as is "alt" and "cotton candy" references. Call me old (or just bored this afternoon as the case may be)...but this is a moot point....

I'm a cynic too. Makes you wonder if snow would've kept it private if not for Edwards.

Actually, I suspect this isn't a conspiracy so much as the law-of-three.

You know, when three important people die within the same week? Well, we've got Mrs. Edwards (cancer), Snow (cancer) and Sheryl Crow has just given a speech as a cancer survivor as well. So I think it's just one of those threesome clusters that happen.

Let us keep in mind that randomness means "clusters," of things happening together; but this does illustrate one thing...the Bush Administration has cried "Wolf" so often that no one trusts them on anything anymore.

I know it's tempting, but I don't think there's anything too fishy. Snow really wasn't expecting a bad prognosis, from what they were saying beforehand, and he let the press corps know that he'd be out awhile due to surgery. He is just two years removed from colon cancer.

As far as Edwards being at a 'low point' in the polls, and this having an effect to bump the numbers up, I get the idea that they aren't that calculating about it. I really think that they were inspired to get into politics after some soul-searching when their son died, and that they honestly want to try and make things better.
