Does anyone ever replace names in stories to suit their own fantasies??

Hey everybody, I'm new to these forums but I have read stories on the site for about half a year now. I was just wondering if anyone here takes a story, saves it to a word processor and then changes the names of the characters to someone they fantasize about? I do it with good stories that I could relate to. Anyone else do this?

I had never thought of doing that before ....... until someone I know mentioned how he would cp stories or convo's, then replace the names/nicks.

I can see how that would be a turn on, still have yet to do it. I think I enjoy the stories because they aren't about me, maybe for voyeuristic reasons ........

If I'm writing about a fantasy that I have with a person who I know in real life, I often use their name because it seems to give the character in the story more life. However, taking a lesson from Charles Dickens, I usually try to find a name that fits the kind of character I'm trying to depict. For example, if there was a tall, beautiful blonde with long legs and a killer ass in my story, I definitely wouldn't name her Helga or Bertha.

Depends on whether or not she enjoyed it.

To answer the original question, no I've never even really thought about doing that. I tend to skim over the names while I read anyway and just sorta mentally fill in the details I'd prefer anyway.
