It's actually very common for sexually inexperienced girls. Are you a virgin, by chance?

If you are, it's probably due to your hymen stretching and/or tearing.

Since most women get most of their sexual pleasure and orgasms from clitoral stimulation, you should direct your partner to stimulate your clitoris instead of inserting his/her fingers into your vagina.

That should keep you from bleeding or hurting.

I agree with Saindesire.
Also thought I might add- long/ uneven fingernails can cause a problems or not enough lubrication.

It may be common for inexperienced girls but it sounds like more than one partner fingering you has had the same effect. And if you're using tampons also the chances of it being your hymen are pretty slim.

It could be a case that you have a short vaginal passage and your partners fingers are having the same effect that a lot of women experience when they have smear tests i.e. they bleed.

However, I would get over your embarrassment of going to see the doctor quickly and go see your him/her. Frankly, there is nothing your doctor hasn't seen or heard before. It could be a case that you have some cysts and/or an infection. It may be you have a short vag. passage and your doctor may advise you to not engage in fingering or to be very careful. If your cervix is being scratched to the point of bleeding and non-sterile fingers are being put inside you that could also cause infections, nevermind the links between HPV and cervical cancer.

Sorry to be freaky scary internet message board woman but I wouldn't put personal health at risk because of being a little bit embarrased. :)

I seriously doubt a short vagina is the issue. Unless we're talking fisting or unusually long fingers, there's pretty much no chance a finger will reach a woman's cervix. Thinner than normal vaginal walls might be an issue, though. I know some post menopausal women have issues due to the changes.

Even I can reach my own cervix in certain positions (e.g. sitting, squatting, lying with my legs pulled up) and at different points in my cycle. My cervix is a stretch for my husband's fingers when it's at its highest point, but it's still doable even though he doesn't have very large hands.

And it's not like I happen to have a freakishly low cervix, either. Checking the cervical position, firmness and opening throughout the cycle is a common way for women (and their partners) to monitor their fertility.

Katerna, most of us also hate going to the doctor, but you really need to take Black's excellent advice and get the bleeding checked out by a good medical professional. It could have a simple explanation and fix, but are you willing to bet your health and life on that being the case, or would it be smarter for you to just have it investigated?

Aside from all the advice about having this checked out by a doctor (just to make sure there isn't a medical problem), it might be a good idea to make sure your partner has trimmed and or filed the possible sharp edges off their fingernails. ;)

Just to add, but not to freak you out, if you are bleeding it means that you are scraped or cut somewhat and you could easily get an infection. It is important to discuss it with your doctor.

Question: are you lubricated enough? I don't mean aroused, but wet enough? Sometimes, if you aren't, it can cause minor tears. Case in point: I spot after a gyno exam or if I'm not sufficiently wet.

However, it's vitally important that you go see a doctor about this. Good luck.

It has happened to me before, I think it might have happend twice over the last 7 years, after an intense fingering session or because his nails had a sharp/pointy edge.

But I don't think we are in the same situation here. a "regular" occurance in your case which , like other have said, puts you at risks for infections.

seeing a doctor about this problem seems like the only safe way to go here.
