I think we are talking about the same sort of boots anyway - only that the ones I bought the other day are a wonderfull shade of shifting aubergine/greey and they are going very well to the new trnd colours of this year's fall in Europe...

Only not so nice thing was the price but they were one of the "have to have them" things when I saw them !

I like the ones that have the mock lace up on the back, and show off more and more skin the higher they go. Pair it with a black velvet short swingy skit, and a white satiny top, that ties at the midrif. Hair left down, and with soft curls at the end....

Those are the kinda outfits I used to wear all the time, before becoming Mommy and Wife.

I miss being a teen and being able to wear that stuff, and not care if another parent in my daughters class might see me, or what my husbands grandma might think.

Sorry but I really hate the whole square toe thing, I know that their probably really comfy and all but I really really hate square toes, but the knee length and the calf hugging bit sound wonderful.
