Does Age Matter

I have to say, I have always liked older men, but recently in the past year I have been more attracted to younger guys and for some reason they are the ones that are asking me out … I have been dating a 22 and 24 year old. The 15 year age difference did bother me at first but after we got to know each other better it didn’t seem to matter much (we have a great time) but yet when someone 20 or 18 try talking to me or ask me out I get freaked …So I guess there is a line for me … I might need to add I am 37 ...lol not that you can't do the math

What about you, what are your thoughts on age differences?

As long as both people involved are happy, I don’t see a problem with age differences. I have always been attracted to older men as well. They seem more experienced and sure of what they’re doing which is a major attraction for me. Of course I realize that young men can be just as or even more experienced than older men but it’s just a feeling that I have.

I was always attracted to older men. When I was in my 20's the men I dated men were usually 10 years older. The trend continued until I reached 50. At that point I started dated men my own age. Now I will date younger men, but I'm not at all attracted to men younger than 50. There's just something about a 50 year-year-old..................... well, especially since the "little blue pill."

For some people age is not a problem, for others it is. I think it depends on the people involved.

I would have to agree with Ziggy in that if both people are happy together, age does not matter.

I, however, have a tendancy towards women of a similar age to myself

good thread. I had always thought that much more than 10 yrs difference was too much. However, I'm finding out.........that some women enjoy a greater age difference. Right now, there's a 15 yr. difference for me. When I was about 27 I had a shortlived romance with a gal almost 50. The only thing that would make me not go younger is if that person was not beyond the nesting urge. All in all, what ever works and makes those involved happy.

Interesting. We seem to agree that it's up to the people involved. I hope I don't run into a guy who still wants to make babies...the practice is fun, but at my age I'd forget where I put the baby.

I know how we each feel about this subject is different in many ways ,if we look deep there are always many different factors as to why we feel the way we do about things ..

All tho i am really only looking for a good time as in friendship and yes sex with the 2 guys i am seeing ,i'm not looking for a lasting ( romance) with either of them and they feel the same ... i have lived half of my life such am having babies and they have not ( believe me we talk about everything ) ... I don't think a year ago if either had asked me out i would have went ... i have done some changing ...and i find that i am doing that alot more these days ...


I was like 12 the first time i realized I liked older men ... and i think the oldest was 46 when i was 33....i'm not sayin i don't still get hot over an older guy ..

I know how we each feel about this subject is different in may ways ,if we look deep there are always many different factors as to why we feel the way we do about things ..

for me age isn't the issue, it is more of a compatability issue, a guy my age, 50 by the way, usually only has about maybe 2 hours of conversation in him for someone really young. I find I am more physically and socially attracked to ladies in the 30's and 40's age, ladies a little more worldly and with some life experience to draw on.
Don't get me wrong if a real young legal lady came along I might have to take her up on it, but only as long as we didn't have to talk to much...LOL

Age difference is not something I think about when I meet someone. I dated someone more than thirty-five years older than I am, and it just never came to mind while I was with him because I loved being around him.

Age has never really mattered to me... I've dated women younger than me, women older than me, and women the same age...

Just like in every other situation, it has to do with chemistry and whether or not you're both comfortable with the situation...

With the older women I've dated, I've had those that were totally comfortable with it from the beginning and those that took a little coaxing... The ones that took a little coaxing, got very comfortable with it very quickly...

I am older and prefer ladies that I can relate to (because it helps to get the woman flying higher if you can satisfy her more than on just the physical level, IMO)...usually my age or up to 15 years younger. Definitely not into the teenager thing--don't want to be a teacher...I find it sexy when a woman knows what she wants/needs, is not afraid to ask for it, and has the passion/aggression to do whatever she feels. OK...that's my opinion--off my soapbox for now, AA.

Age has never really mattered to me. I'm usually attracted to how a man acts not how old/young he is. I do however do find myself drawing the line at guys more than 5 years younger than me. Just because it freaks me to think of myself being with someone that much younger.

Good thread.....I don't think age matters in the least. If you want to date someone younger than you as long as you're both happy, that's all that counts. I've NEVER dated anyone younger than me, and that's by choice. They just don't hold my interest. I don't want to be a babysitter. I like them around 5 years older than me. That's perfect! Which could be why my sweetie and I get along so well.
