morning everyone,

I dont think any of you have heard so I thopught I would drop a line

Last night, I was riding through Zions' National Park with 3 of my freinds on my Brand New Motorcycle..
and we were following the speed limits and I was first going up the hill
and a dude in a dodge truck who had a little too much to drink thought it would be cool to come down this hill at about 80 (the speed limit is 55)
we were on a sharp turn and I was run off the road, because he came over into my lane, and I over corrected when I tried to miss him
now it isnt too bad I have one broken wrist, and a broken leg but other than that I am fine
the guy is now in jail for multiple violations inclding attempted manslaughter.
Anyways I will be taking donations for the
"Save SHon's Ducati FOundation" if your interested in a Tax Deducatable donation lemme know :) hehehe
Have a good night

I'm sending healing wishes your way. I hope you aren't in too much pain.

I hope your bones are the kind that knit fast, too.

Your in my thoughts also Hurly, Chin up stay well man your still alive this is good all else can be replaced.....Just think on the lighter side if the bike was brand new you didn't have time to change much on it.
Just trying to look at the good here.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I've witnessed one motorcycle accident and had someone close to me go too fast on a country road and end up hitting a tree in another. The things scare me to death as a result, won't go near them.

Hope your leg and wrist aren't hurting too bad. You were very lucky though. Wizard is right, the bike can be replaced. You can't.

Out of curiosity and maybe to help other riders who frequent this bb- were you wearing a helmut? Full leathers for protection?

Chin up HI. I've come close to being a hood ornament a couple of times myself. I still get a pain in my hip from the time I dumped my brothers bike back in '77. Get well soon, and you'll be eating bugs again in no time.

Hey there take care of yourself-hope you get well soon...we should all be really gentle with you Hurley-so as not to strain your sore body.

Awww, you poor thing! I'm very sorry to hear about your accident. That's gotta suck. I'm just glad you didn't hurt your head. (no, seriously!) How bad off is your bike? Hope this jerk-off who ran you off the road gets a long time in jail!!

Hubby has a motorcycle, and I worry about him when he rides, so can sympathize with you. Anyway, hope you get better quickly, and your bike's not too badly damaged.

I only wear helmets and leathers when I ride, I dont wanna look like hamburger.
the bike has about 3,000$ in damage to it, but it is in the process of being fixed,

thanks all for the love :)

A ducati!

Sorry to hear about the bike... and you. Look after yourself and I spose that means we will be hearing more from you now :D.

da Chef

Just wondered... how you were "feeling"? With the broken wrist and all.....
Going stir crazy yet?

Chef: yea i have a ducati, and yep
you will be hearing from me more now

Merelan: yea, do you know how hard it is
to look at your guitars wqith a broken wrist
I tried to play one last night, and i couldnt do it it just killed my hand :(

Glad to hear you wear a helmet and leathers when you ride- I guessed that much based on your injury description. Wanted to prod you a bit so that others reading the bb who may not take the same safety procautions can see how well you came through the accident. You're still here and relatively in one piece Might get a few of them thinking.

Hope you're doing okay. Must be horrible to not be able to do the things you love for awhile.

Hurley:
So glad that you are all right and I am so very sorry for your accident, sounds like the idiot got what he deserved though. Well hope your are doing better and take care of yourself. :)
