If anyone can eat pink slips and shit jobs, its Obama!

So far no one's feeling anything. This is all a TV crisis.

They are though, so I'm not sure what you mean. Real people now have tight retirements, are being laid off because companies are contracting, and are upside down in their loans, if they still have their homes, that is. I know some of these people.

Dr. Horrible's more fun though, present company excluded, of course.

JOMAR

Lotsa people I know took hits on their 401Ks, and everyone is pissed about bailing out the banks.

700K jobs were lost in the last year, 275K in September alone. Gonna be a lot more pink slips real soon.

Well, I'm being solipsistic. It still hasn't really hit anyone I know. 401K's are light, but no one I know's retiring. I'm hearing of lay-offs, but I don't know anyone who's been laid off. The news on TV sounds like the end of the fucking world, but people are still shopping and taking vacations, so it seems like a big disconnect between the News and reality.

Well the shit has hit the fan here. We have about 3 million people in the area, and the help wanted ads fill about 3 pages of the paper. Call center operators, telephone actors, and sales are the bulk of the availble positions.

Come move to Michigan. No, really, don't. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Things were bad before this whole thing went down. Now? I honestly think the whole state may end up going the way of Detroit...

Ah. Much like the war for many people.
