Do You...?

:D Now there is a "loaded" question if i ever heard one. :D

I'll ask you a question in return and let you figure it out.

Whose fantasies are in the stories?

Most of the stuff I have written of late I have recorded and posted. I listen to my own recordings several times a week and have gotten off a couple of times. As the previous poster stated...those are my fantasies on those recordings so of course they make me hot.

I let my wife read them to me and we both have orgasms. I read them sometimes, but seeing she was a part time phone sex operator in college it is so much more fun to hear her do them

I keep trying to talk her out of retirement to do an audio story here, but she refuses.

Amazing.

Re-reading them it's rare for me to - writing them in the first place - most definitely. *sighs at the fond memories*

When reading them again, I'm looking for editorial changes and the initial "yummy" factor for me isn't there like before. My earlier work, is full of errors, and I cringe sometimes when I read them.

Thats why two of mine have yet to see the pages of Lit; I keep altering them.

Previously written stories are like old lovers; you remember them fondly, but the passion is no longer there. ;)

While I don't post many here but, I do send short stories to a woman I know. Thye stories are specific to her own want, needs, desires, fetishes and fantasies. When she responds to one of my stories with a long detailed story about her masturbating then I may reread them and get off while thinking of her.

I guess it's getting off second hand sort of. (G) BTW I only get 5* votes from her. Screw the unwashed masses. I have an average score of 5.0 for over two dozen stories.

Hey Red - thanks for the comment. I actually know I'm done editing when I don't get distracted with the editing and start getting aroused! lol... I always trust a red-head's opinion! Thanks!

I feel I'm a lot better at editing my work than I ever was before. I'm the first to admit that my earlier work is a good read, but you have to go in knowing the errors are there and are distracting. But with over 200 stories and a 141 poems - I'm so not going back to edit stuff. lol

lol - You're welcome. If the story is really arousing me, I have to just walk away, either distract myself with something else, or take care of things, then go back and start the editing process, before adding more erotica to the story.

I rarely re-read whole stories, as I now know the backstory all too well. Since I wrote them, I know which lines get me off and where in the story they are, and I do sometimes re-read those crucial paragraphs.

Chalk me up for a no, sadly. (I get about the same degree of reaction from reading my own work as from reading a funny but less-than-erotic hentai manga like My Balls.)

I sometimes get aroused all over again, yes. I rarely reread them, but as I've started to expand some into larger works for the market, I do sometimes go over them again. Occasionally I'm surprised by not recognizing having written a particular story to begin with.

About the only time that I 'reread' a story is when I expand the story from short story to novella or novel. However, I do come close to orgasm when I read really exciting sales figures for one of my books.

Not really. I can replay the scenes in my mind and get aroused, but if I actually reread? Nope. But then, I hate my own writing. Always have. I can't read anything I've written in the past without cringing. Not just a problem with erotica. I can't read my academic publications without hating every other sentence either.

i will sometimes reread something i've previously written to refresh my memory and to avoid a self contradiction in a series. get aroused? sometimes. usually if i'm writing i use both hands on the keyboard.
