All men are created equal. That's why the government should ensure that they are treated equally.
 
Well I am a physician and I can tell you that I would never ever never ever ever ever let a black physician work on me. You want to know why ? Because many black college students are admitted to medical school only because they are black. Their grades and MCAT scores are litterally several deviations below the average numbers for the average white person or asian ( asians dont get coverage from affirmative action - they just earn it. ) who gets into med school. Would you want a black doc working on you who wasnt smart enough to even be an average matriculant to med school ?

all I can say is that I don't think its fair that
You get hired first because of your color
You can get accepted into college with lower grade scores because of your color
You get almost free or totally free college because of your color

Its just not right!
 
I don't think Affirmative Action should be illegal, per se. If a company wants to hire on the basis of race, sex, sexual preference, etc. it should be able to do so, so long as it accepts the consequences of a non-merit-based hiring practice.

AA, as a government policy, should not be legal, however.

The only C student that I've heard of who graduated from both Harvard and Yale was George W. Bush. He admitted this himself. Is it more fair that he was admitted to these schools because he was a legacy student?


The concept of 'all men are created equal' and a 'level playing field' are fallacies. There will always be someone who is given an advantage whether it is by birthright, economic status or other intervention.
