I dont know of any music that gets me in the mood, but I do know of some music that I enjoy rolling around with my partner to.
There is a form of downbeat future jazz that I call 'Shag Jazz' .. artists like Irresistible Force, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Coldcut, and a lot of artists under the label of Ninja Tune are where you'll find it. It's almost ambient.
Other music I can shag to includes tracks from a very special group called Gus Gus: their CD Gus Gus vs. T-World is a brilliant mix of ambient/downbeat/groove/trance that I found for 4 bucks in the bargain bin of my local used CD store.
For a little more industrial, I like Haujobb. I have three of their CDs (Solutions for a Small Plant, Freeze Frame Reality, Matrix) and they are all filled with dramatic and soft edged industrial, melts into the background and also puts a slight edge to the mood.
Yeah, I am not a classic date. No Barry White for me.
