Do you read tone into a member's post?

I started a thread once about how I give voices to certain posters that I interact with frequently.

Some members that I don't interact with that much or members who have left a certain first impression on me, usually a negative one, don't get a voice. They just get a tone that i hear in my head with a generic announcer type voice.

There are a few people who get a happy or light hearted tone.

Most of the people that get a tone though simply get a very angry, mean and nasty voice. Depending on what they are saying the voice will vary in volume from a normal but gruff sounded voice to a angry yell/scream.


Frimost, Lost Cause and sometimes Ishmael top the list as the my most prevealant angry yellers.

Whenever someone's post pisses me off, I imagine it being read aloud by Goofy, and then it's just funny.

I think there's a certain mental tone to the people whose posts I read regularly, but I don't know how I'd describe it in terms of sound.

They're kinda funny except since Ishmael knows everything he's not allowed to be called funny. Personally I hate cheyenne and jazzy Jim the most, they are too jolly and when they are serious they are completely wrong.

sexy-girl has a light and fluffy tone, Renee Witherspoon from Legally Blonde.
Cheyenne always sounds very serious, like Piper from Charmed.

I may be serious, but I very rarely yell or swear. Here or in real life. When I do either, at least in real life, it gets noticed.

Usually I can figure out the tone of a post, and infer when they are being sarcastic or serious.

i hear a lot of people here as monotone when i am too lazy to assign them a voice.

You just get a normal girls voice nothing to fancy.

My voice is actually pretty deep in tone, not like berry white deep but kind of deep , and I have about a neutral accent. Hell, I have worked for more then 10 years to get rid of my texas accent.

I can still bring it back along with several other types of voices/accents but it sounds fake to my ears now.

I could never be a teacher. Even at college level (and I've turned down old professors of mine asking me to come back as an evening class instructor.) I do not have the patience to teach, and I know it. I admire those who do.
