Another of my study questions on how people use forums.

When you see a new thread, one you've never posted to before, how much of the existing thread will you read before you post?

I'll always check the first page and the last page if it's long, to see if it's still on topic, and I'll try to only answer if the last page seems to be the same tone as the first.

If the tone's the same and both on topic, I'll try to read as much as I can (not all if it's huge, at least skim)

If it's gone off into "Hey, hon, how are you today?"

I won't bother.

so, i was saying to lucky the other day, "do they sell thigh strap ons at the local smut shop?"
what was this thread about?

*grin*
yes, i do read before i post even if it sometimes doesnt seem like i do.

As a general rule I read before I post, but I post to the thread title and THEN get in on whatever tangent it's gotten off on.

I'm still embarassed that Lucky had to explain how those work to me.

I read till I find something I want to reply to, then I reply and go back and read the thread (generally).

Unless it is a never-ending fun thread I read from beginning to end.

If it is a long thread that I have never posted to before, I think hard before putting in the effort to read it from the beginning because I must have had a reason for ignoring it before.

If it's short or really kickass interresting, I read it. But more often I just skim, since I have the attention span of a

Pretty much the same as Og and Liar. It depends on the subject and length.

Rumple Foreskin

ps: I read all these. rf

I typically read all posts made in regard to a topic. I'll often skip intertwined conversations but it's very rare for me to just post on a topic without reading what's already been said.

If the title catches my interest, I'll skim through the whole thing, and then, maybe post.

Some threads, though, I just post for the hell of it, or deliberatly threadjack.

And I'm almost tempted to post the FU thread in it's entirety here as well as the GB, just because... well, everyone needs an amusing list of FUs.

 You SHOULD be! ;)

Mmmm ... okay, now I'm thoroughly distracted and, like, I just GOT here!

(No, I didn't vote in the poll -- 'cause the answers vary depending on my mood, the thread topic, who's posted in it, and whether or not it's raining.)

Like imp said, except add the phases of the moon into the equation as well.

"Thigh strap ons"? Off to Google.

I've lived a sheltered life? I still have never seen one, but at least I can imagine it now.

There are photos on line. I've seen a few up close and personal, but we've yet to obtain one for our own toy drawer(s).

The determined can achieve a similar effect with a traditional harness (although it looks ridiculous).

If it slides around too much, SuperGlue's an option. ;)

I'm a guy? You know how ignorant we are about sex. ;)

Googled. Checked ink's link as well. Thanks.

Interesting. I'm getting the glimmerings of a story idea.
