I would have to say my preference is to see a face, but there have been some incredible threads that I've enjoyed where the pictures have been cropped to leave the face out. It's so sexy when you get to see a picture showing a mouth, or an eye, or even a slight profie of someone that you've never seen their whole face. Almost like a tease in and of itself.

As for blacked out faces? Usually this totally ruins the image for me although I definately understand why someone might do that.

I'd rather the picture CROPPED than a cut out face or a scribble over...
The cut out ones look haunting and ghostly... Gives me the willies.

I'm kinda torn; I like pics with faces if the pic is being taken "in the heat of things". The facial expression is a large part of that type of composition. If you're just showing off your body, then no need for a face I guess.

I do like to see the face, but I do realize some people are uncomfortable putting their face on the net, so I am kool with whatever the poster is comfortable with. I do prefer to the expressions as well as the eyes, eyes are one of the features I look at often.
