Do you play Pokemon Go, and is it fun?

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I can't imagine what the attraction is. You walk around, following some animated blip on a map you pull up on your phone, regardless of whatever oddball/precarious location the ones and zeros decide to send you to next. Is that right?

In all seriousness, I believe its a social experiment to get people to exercise and socialize more then they may normally would.

It was fun for a few hours on a sunny day. Didn't care much about finding the creature thingys. The best part was walking aroung and finding stops and gyms. They are stations mapped to local spots of note. Important buildings, public art and so on.

The app also has info on the spots themselves. Learned a lot of random things about my hood.

And then I got bored and haven't touched it since that first day.

I enjoyed it for a bit. Making someone else drive for a change while I caught Pokemon made me feel special. Like they were just doing circles around the park just for me and my game. Because they were.

Other aspects of the game that I enjoyed were getting out and about on foot. Enjoying the sunshine. Trying not to cause major incidents that were unavoidable because please I'm playing my game and walking around. All you're doing is sitting in your car beeping at me, or asking what I'm doing in your driveway.
