Do you like to be good or evil?

I like to have one character in each story I write have a little of me in her. In my latest story I posted here I picked a sweetheart of a young woman to be the recipent of my personality. However in the past I have often made myself into the villain.

If you had your choice to insert your personality into just one character would that character be good or evil?

Oh, Darth Vader has already been taken by a guy named George Lucas.

I usually write a piece of myself into the character that's experiencing the most profound growth/challenge.

Good. Been on the receiving end of the callous and cruel too often to be otherwise.

It hampers my writing. I have two stories hung up because I just can't write what will happen in the story. I'll try again soon.

Niether.

My characters simply are. There is no good in their actions, niether is there evil. There are only actions. I'm sure there are those who would see some of those actions as evil. Some would see them as good. I leave that for you to determine for yourselves.

evil.

(although not always)

many times I'm quite evil- and often I'm the guy. makes me wonder, if I *were* a guy, if I would be the worste possible kind of guy. If I was a 'good guy' I"m sure I'd struggle with it. (Internal struggle- good for stories also)

When I was a little girl and my neighbor had a star wars set, one of my favorite guys to play was darth vader! (I didn't follow whatever rule says you have to play a 'girl character'- it's make believe right?)

In one of my romance novels I tried to think of how I would be if I was the male villain. I was surprised how easy it was to be insensative and cruel. So I projected that into the character and it was one of my most popular works because the villain was so convincing.

Just like you, I would make a really screwed up guy. I'm sure with testosterone in my system I would have been really "bad"

I always wondered how big my equipment would have been if I were a guy. LOL

Be careful Cant. I'm still planning your murder in an upcoming story. I think you should find God before I kill you off. LOL

I wondered that too- only since I saw this weird documentary gender-bender thing on cable. (I forgot what it was called- but it was too short- I thought it was going to be a series) Three guys and three girls have to 'switch'- right down to the nitty gritty. The guys have to 'tuck themselves up' and the girls use a prothsethus. Interstingly, if most real men has a choice, I suspect they's chose the largest available, but the women usually had to be coached to 'go bigger'- speaking of coaching, they were coached on how to walk and talk and stand and stuff. The one woman was already rather 'manly' and I think it ended up being too emotionally difficult for her.

Anybody see that show and remember what it was called?

Did the girls look like guys after their transformation? I'm tall but I don't think I could convince anyone that I was a real guy. It might be fun to try it for a day.

Yes, and it was quite remarkable.

I'm short- even for a girl, so as I guy I'd be very unimpressive. But I'd love to try it. And they could probably put some lifts in my shoes.:)

I have to admit, I"m truly fascinated by this. I guess it's the transformation- I also love makeover shows and even 'personality makeover' type things. Like "Made" on MTV.

Cinderella
Pretty Woman
My Fair Lady

:)

(Are those archetypes;))

I love to write conniving. It's high comedy.

I would prefer to be so delightfully evil, that people root for my cause.

They shave your moustache off at 5000.

Be careful.

I try to put something of myself in my characters. If people see them as good or evil, that is their choice. My characters learn, they live, (at least for the length of the story.) they get hurt and they hurt others. Sounds kind of like life doesn't it?
