lavender said:I love surprises. They bring a huge smile to my face. However, some surprises are a bit overboard. If the surprise either infringes upon my privacy or my day to day life when uninvited, I hate it. I think there is a great deal of decorum that goes into planning a surprise. You must consider the feelings of the other person.

Oh yay!What's in it?
Generally I view a surprise as something positive. Something negative is a shock.
Being proposed to out of the blue is a surprise. Finding your husband in bed with another man and a lawn gnome is a shock. Your friend buying you a new car is a surprise. Your friend wrecking your car by filling it with chickens before you go to work is a shock.
