I was told about a very interesting-sounding story by a colleague, but he couldn't remember much about it, or even whether it was a movie or a book:
A husband and wife get on a train where there is another man, a stranger, in the compartment. The wife ends up leaving the train with the stranger, although throughout the journey, the never speak a single word to each other.
