I tend to use endeavor and project, the IT person in me obligated to add that project is the IT lexicon means to get something created/completed/built once for the first time, whereas day to day keeping it running after it's finished is no longer part of the project.

FYI, I added that whole project part to make up for my "historical erotica is boring" comment the other day. I've bored you all more with IT trivia than a romance about a medieval knight wooing a wench who (obviously) is a Princess pretending to be a commoner would bore me. Double obviously, the knight eventually gets to use his lance after about 8 pages of outfit, scenery, and love poem descriptions, but all through euphemism. :D

A tangent, my favorite writing tool: Shift-F7 in Microsoft products for an instant and speedy Thesaurus. In this case, it's lightweight and fast, just a list of words for each meaning of a word plus antonyms, nothing else. It's the fastest way to brainstorm when you're looking for the perfect word.

Lemme say, and youll likely agree, training and culture take you most of the way but there is a boundary beyond which youre on your own.

Fritz Perls called operations GESTALTS. But Gestalt means form.

Lemme put it a different way:

What would you call an event that starts with Kim Kardashians ass and ends with an orgasm? What is it that gets you from one all the way to the other?

Hand lotion

Alcohol.

I think the suggestion of Procedure works best for the OP's question.

Alcohol always loosens things up, hell my muse should be named Jack, but for post #7 hand lotion would be involved in the end result. For most anyway, if a Karadshian is involved the end result for me would be clicking off in disgust so, yeah, pass the booze.

There must be a more general classification for events that begin and end with fixed results. Most of such things have names like brawl, vacation, duel, cluster fuck, circle jerk mass, etc.

That's almost as bad as the Heather pig somebody keeps prattling on about.

Except in that case, that guy is a certifiable stalker and that girl is....I am embarrassed to say so skanky she's hot, but I've always had a thing fro trashy women.

Hopefully the wife does not find this post:eek:
