You do?.

Why?.

Do you go to worship your god,or do you go to be seen to worship?

If,as I'm told,god is everywhere,you can worship him anywhere.
So why do you go to church?.

Do I go to Church?

No.

I fulfil my spiritual needs from the bush in which I live, surrounded by nature in the raw.

I see no need to kneel in a hot and uncomfortable building, surrounded by people who cannot coherently explain what they're doing there, talking about and praying to a being who cannot be seen and whose existence cannot be proven.

Yes, I do go occasionally.

Why do I go? Certainly NOT to "be seen worshipping", or else I'd go more often. :p

I agree, God is everywhere, and I don't have to go to a church to talk to him. I guess that's partly why I don't go so often.

So.....why, actually, do I go? I'd have to say because my particular religion believes in certain religious ceremony/rites that are performed in a church, by a priest.

I dunno, Mig.....that's the best answer I've got right now.

I usually go atleast once a year to pay my respect to God.
It's the least i can do to show my thank's for being created.

Do you go to a bank to get money? Or do you just dig it up out of your backyard?

Yes, I go to church because that is where the atmosphere of being close to God is the most intense. Going to church provides a feeling of peace.

Just like going to a bank provides money for a beer! :)

The last time I went to church my then bf got into a fight with some football players. Let it be known the church doubled as a school and the football players belonged to the school. Let it also be known that the pastor's there were football coaches at the school. Therefore we were kicked out and not welcomed back. After that I lost all interest in going to a church. Besides every conversation I ever had with anybody there would argue the view points of other religions against theirs and why the other religions were all wrong. It got old. Besides I can't really say I believe there is a god. I'm not a scientologist or anything like that. Well maybe a fatalist possibly. In short funerals and weddings.

Nope I dont go very often. Like Halo its mostly Weddings, funerals and baptisms.

Yes, I go to church. No I don't go to be seen. I get a real uplift from being in God's house.

Hell no. Religion is mind control.

Every religion is based on lies.

But don't take my word for it. Make up your own mind.

Most people are subject to religious control from the time they're
born.How do you break away?.

In my case it was divine revelation.:)

Bono and the boys on church ...

"And I'd join the movement
if there was one I could believe in
Yeah I'd break bread and wine
if there was a church I could receive in
Cos I need it now

To take the cup
to fill it up
to drink it slow
can't let you go"

Excellent song daedalos!!!

If I believed in God maybe but since I don't nope.
If I did believe in God I'd be with Midnight. The presence of the Almighty should be in all things and our worship of "HIM" shouldn't be dependent on location.

Besides Budda had all the answers anyway.

I go very rarely. I don't believe God can hear us louder in groups.
If we hads some old grand cathedrals around here, I'd go. I love the presence in those buildings, it gives me a sense of peace and belonging.

I do believe church establishes a great sense of community, but that's not what I'm looking for right now. (except on Lit. of course)

:)

Not Now

I do not go anymore. I was a regular for years and even taught sunday school for a time. I attended at the time for the closeness and family atmosphere. However, church is like everything and politics and money take center stage. I go to work and watch the news for that and do not need it in a church. I am perfectly content now in my own spiritual way.:D Later.

The last time I set foot in a church was Febuary 10, 1999. I don't plan on doing it again any time soon.

Halo :rose:

Ditto.

If I need to have a heart to heart with my God I don't need to go anywhere to do it.
