I was just working on a story where i was describing the smell of a hippy apartment during a rainstorm. A rich and complex mix of smells.

I'll never forget the smell of the apartments in the Haight in 1969 - a mixture of pot smoke, patchouli oil, and catshit. Every apartment had the same smell.
