is a party, and you didn't get invited?

Or... maybe it was just really lame, and you went home after twenty minutes.

I often feel like everyone else is having a party but me.

Then I hear everyone else say stuff like "I often feel like everyone else is having a party but me." and snap out of it. :)

Yup.

Though more often than not, I feel like I did get invited, but as usual decided just it was easier to sit at home instead.

"Fate" is just what you call it when you don't know who's fucking you over.

Yeah, but you took all the writing talent and left me with the obsessive need to read. I've been meaning to have a few words with you about that....

As one who's been the drunk of the party more times than I can count, politeness won't get us to leave. ;)

We lot just got to throw a party one day. It would totally bomb. ;)

No. For me, life is like a fine restaurant.

I'm stuck outside, watching through the glass, watching everyone else enjoy good meals.

And I can't find the door in.

Nobody leaves me doggy bags either.

Moon 'em.

It doesn't help, but it lightens the heart for a moment.

I want to refuse out of principle, hey you got the talent & all, but I've more than I need anyway. Help yourself. ;)

Life's one big party. :nana:

I don't ever feel like I haven't been invited and I can imagine if ever I did, I'd invite myself anyway and crash the joint.

C'mon you lot, shake those asses and grab life by the balls. It's what you make it.

(Sorry if I'm pissing anyone off with my happy, positive attitude. Call it learning life's lessons and trying to pass some of it on. When you live like I do, you learn fast. ;) )

Lou :p

The restaurants in my life aren't as fine, but the looking and watching doesn't produce any left over French Fries for me either....

That's why I love a good metaphor. Opens up for new kind of solutions. Ever tried making a new door? With a brick?

I've often felt like my life was a sitcom that I was starring in, yet nobody had the decency to tell me about it.

just a thought, but...
maybe the snake scared the people who might've otherwise invited ya

Nah, the snake is more likely to get me invited to the other one. I got invited to the sensible, practical party where they serve tea and sandwiches and speak in polite tones about their investments, the weather, and the latest in server software.
