You're lucky that you don't put on weight though. I was so good all summer and then work and grad school started up again for me. I've been eating so much more than I did during the summer. I need to stop...
:(

I used to.

Now, when I get sad, I just get despondant. I don't want to eat, don't want to sleep, don't want to do anything. Bleh.

Luckily, I'm in a great mood today! Well, maybe not so luckily for my waistline. :D

When I'm horny I get the worst sweet tooth.
Now, where did mom hide the Oreos?

I stop eating when I am sad or stressed.

Geesh! I lost 60 pounds in the last year of my marraige. I wonder what that says! :D

i most definitely do... that's what my yesterday was.. i got up, had some macaroni and cheese, went back to bed, then got up again, had something else, went back to bed, got up again and had something else, went back to bed again, got up and ordered a pizza, then sat up till 2am eating pizza, breadsticks, pretzels, and drinking 7-up all by myself watching movies and tv

I eat WAY less. If I'm in a particular funk, I can lose as much as 12 pounds before I snap out of it.

I tend to exercise more, sleep less, eat less, and generally walk around in a bear of a mood.

Oddly, Thing 1 and Thing 2 have the same trait - if they are sad or mad, they'll go the whole day without eating.

I eat less when I am in a bad depression, I also sleep less. Luckily, the meds I am on help with that. I am almost back to what the doctor considers a healthy weight, now to just maintain it. Sorry you are sad, sexy-girl, sending a hug from Texas.

No, just the opposite. I get nauseated, and can't eat and feel like it'd gag me to eat unless it's been a long time, and then my body just starts to feel starved.

I eat like a horse when I am happy, and well adjusted.

mostly it depends on my mood if its general worry it makes me eat ... if its being upset then i stay away from food ... today it was general worry i guess thats why i ate more

when i was quite abit younger i actually almost suffered from anorexia so i have to really watch how my emotional state effects my eating habit ... its actually quite unhealthy to let your emotional state effect how you eat ... but i do still just not in the same degree

When I was around twelve I used to eat because I was sad. I ate a lot of high carbo foods and sugar. I later discovered it was because it medicated me in a way. I could fall into a deep sleep and escape my problems.

A lot of folks don't realize they are using food for it's sedating effects. Like a lot of people don't realize that smoking produces a mild antidepressant effect.

When I suffer a loss I lose all interest in food. When I am sad all I want is the sugary stuff so I do not eat it. It just makes me feel horrible after I wake up. Tired and draggy and kinda grouchy. I try and exercise or work with my bonsai or flowers. It lifts my spirits more. In the winter I will go to the greenhouses to immerse myself in the green growing things.

At the risk of being stupid I think what you might need is some human touch. So for what it's worth I am giving you a big hug and consider yourself hugged everyday till Lisa comes back.

thanks *Lazer* and i agree with everything you said about why people do it and that its not always a good idea

and yes i do need hugs thankyou :) *hugs* right back

It depends on what I'm sad about. The majority of the time I eat more, but sometimes I just don't eat at all when I'm sad.
