On the average.

Take a look at the last six weeks of your life.

How many days were filled with laughter and how many with tears?

I know some of us laugh until we cry, but I'm talking about sad tears not happy ones.

Tell me.

I usually laugh lots more than I cry.

Last 6 weeks or so, I'd say it's 50/50.

How about you?

(first post - hey, I hadta do it, I sheeplike that way)

I always try to laugh more than I cry, even in hard times.

I have some very good friends who make laughing come often. :)

I've done much of both. But all during the course of watching Buffy.

Normally I laugh more. I cry alot, but I tend to seek out laughter more.

I hear she's got that affect on people.

In the last six weeks I know I cried more than I laughed. But the last six weeks have been a BAD six weeks. Even when I would laugh I knew I was crying on the inside. Laughing is a form of crying.

Itty bitty Babies laugh when they are scared because they don't know the difference yet. *shrugs*

I laugh a lot. I laugh at everything. I'm silly as shit. I cry rarely, but when I do, it really saps me.

I laugh alot too. I am one of those damn perpetually happy people that drive you nuts.
I don't mind shedding a tear or two and it seems to come easier as I get older. I was raised that real men don't cry but discovered that is a pile of crap.

I rarely cry. When I do, it's usually at a book or movie. Emotional sappy crap. I'll deny this staunchly when I'm more awake.

On the other hand, I laugh a lot. I spend most of my day laughing at one thing or another.

I also tend to crack up for no readily apparent reason. I think of funny stuff that, if I tried to explain it, would just sound stupid, but it makes me laugh. So I'll just be sitting there, and all of a sudden, I'm giggling like a school girl.

I laugh. It's just this thing I do. Constantly.

In the last three years I've probably spent 75% of my time in tears (I was in the wrong relationship), but in the last six weeks, I'd have to say the opposite is true (I still dwell on old hurts too much, but I'm trying to get over that). I even woke myself up gigging the other day and looked around to make sure nobody heard me :) I felt rather silly. The cat was looking at me funny.

I'm a terrible sap though. I cry at tv weddings and when characters on tv and in the movies give birth. There's even one old McDonald's commercial that makes me cry. The one with the group of little kids walking in single file to McD's in the rain all wearing their little yellow rain slickers. Nothing at all sad about it, but it just makes me cry. And those heart-wrenching long distance commercials they used to run were just as bad.

Yes. I have been. Sometimes things just " get " to me and I get fed up. Add in hormone pills from the doctor for medical reasons and you have one seriously fucked up person here. :(

I sat one afternoon and played on the web and listened to music and had tears dripping down my face. If asked, I could not give any reason why. I just was sad.

The last 6 wks have had a good amount of tears but by no means more so than laughter.

I'm one of those goofy giggly happy people too. I walk around making sound effects, giggle almost all the time, and smile continually just about.

Dawn

The past six weeks have been bad for me. School ending, no work, and bills piling up have left me pretty damn pissed. No real laughter and no real tears since I'm more at a snapping point of anger.

Over the past six weeks, I have been through more hell then is usual so the tears have flown a bit more than usual. I usually try to stay in a good mood and laugh at things.

I'm sorry to hear things have been rough lately, m.

I hope today is a good one for you.:)

I've been crying more in the last 6 months than I can ever remember. But I still laugh more than I cry

They are getting better so I am looking for a long stretch of some good times.

Good morning juicylips!

I think I've probably cried more than laughed in the last 6 weeks but those tears were all part of having to work through some things. They were very helpful tears, if that makes any sense at all. Now I'm starting to laugh and smile a lot more and it feels wonderful!

Things have gotten worse. I cry more now. I only laugh sometimes here. Kinda sad really.

So glad to hear your smiling, PT :)

Sometimes the tears are worth it when we work things out.

Kisses,
JL
