Conservatives today celebrate Independence Day. That's in direct opposition to the Dependence so many now find fashionable. It's not just the Fourth of July, which is simply a date. It's a value and an idea we who celebrate Independence Day have as a core belief.

So I ask, do you celebrate the Fourth of July, or are you celebrating Independence Day?

Happy July 4th/Independence Day, Coach. Wishing you a great one!

Only the lame limit the celebration of political Independence to just one Day a year...

I quit celebrating once I realized that what america stands for and what it is supposed to be are far from what it is. The american dream, freedom and the constitution that protects those freedoms are all DEAD. They no longer exist....why celebrate?

Celebrate the fact that the government wants to take all your money either through tax or legally approved corporate extortion at gun point, under threat of imprisonment????

Celebrate the DHS putting people on a terrorist watch list, stripping their rights away at a finger pointing whim with no oversight, due process or recourse??

Celebrate the prison nation that puts more people in prison THAN ANY OTHER NATION IN THE WORLD??

I think the fuck not....I am 100% ASHAMED of the United States of America, what it has become and my citizenship.
