A comment. A day. Anything that's negative.

Do you block it out? And is it good for you?

Inverse proportion. Mildly bad, I remember reasonably well. Off-the-edge-of-the-boat crazy, I tend to forget the details.

It is healthy in that I tend to shed skins and move on. It is unhealthy in that I tned to shed skins and move on.

Something like that.

Do you block out the bad shit?

Are there times in your life that you think 'enough is enough'?

And are the decisions you make in that time good decisions?

Do those decisions define how and who you are as a person?

Are we talking about relationships, GS? By the time you're asking these questions, you're answering these questions.

Yes, if you notice that there's been more bad than good, the decisions that come have validity.

HOWEVER: That is a subset of the times you think 'enough is enough.' Were it not for that thought, commitment would have no meaning.

Yes, the decisions about how far to the right or left of a line you are willing to move, define you as a person. But not de facto: neither moving nor not moving is in itself correct, nor defining.

Do you just ignore the negative? That's the question.

Do you just get to the stage where you care, for the worthy, whatever worthy is to you

No, I don't block it out as such.
I accept that I will experience bad things, and I tend to spend a little time digesting the 'why' of it... and then if I determine that my behaviour had a part to play, I make plans to change that behaviour if I can.
If I decide it happened because of outside reasons, then I just shrug it off and move on to the next day/comment/moment.

This too shall pass.

And then it does.

I use an ancient spell taught to me in my youth by an old wizard.

At the end I set off some flash powder and toss some silver glitter in the air.

It's been fairly reliable.

I dont do 2nd chances, and I seriously limit what pisses me off enough to dump a relationship or a job or whatever. Most of the time I calculate whether I wanna pay what it costs to play the game, then play or dont play.

There are a lot of threads on this board I skip over. Quite a LOT that I don't think should be here at all from some who are seemingly here for the wrong reasons.

What "wrong reasons" are you referring to?

Until they insult your mule.

Or your model A.

They should have hired smarter guys.

Once you realize that you're responsible only for your actions and feelings - not for the state of the world, or for other people's happiness/unhappiness - and that a startling number of people actually enjoy being negative/miserable/unhappy and seek out negativity and misery and things to complain about, then I believe you'll find it's all pretty fucking funny.

I'm confused.
