Having a mental connections?

For example-I was at work today, filing. I came across a file of a friend from highschool how I hadn't seen since the summer. I was leafing through his medical information (shh, don't tell) and thinking how much I missed him and our friendship.

Later on, this evening I was going to the store and I ran into him. Funny, because he isn't even usually even in my town and he said that he was just thinking about coming in for a doctor's visit.

This sh*t happens to me quite often. I will think of someone, sometimes they just pop into my head. And soon after I will see or hear from them.

Is it fate? Or is it just a strong connection, that somehow manifests into reality? This happen to anyone else?

I read an article about how some people have these kind of connections with long time pets. No matter what time they are expected to arrive home, before they do the animals start to get excited and ready for their masters. It was very interesting, wish I could remember more of what it said. But, I digress...

This isn't exactly on point, but I'm going to say it anyway. You would be one of my worst fears. What if that was your own GYNO chart, complete with all the intimate details of your health and sex life, and a male friend was just "leafing through" it? How would you feel?

I have avoided an entire health provider system where I live just for that reason- I have relatives that work there in medical records and I don't want them "leafing through" mine. My doctor is from their competition, where I don't think I know anyone.

Whew.....

He was one of my best friends in HS. I actually told him what I did. And besides, I work in the medical profession. We are trained to keep these things confidential. We can be sued if we don't. Besides, I'm a nice girl and would never do anything inappropriate with the information I know about people from work.

I handle a lot of patients that are people that I know, or at least know of. It is a relatively small town. I understand your position, but for me it isn't a problem.
I personally, wouldn't care if some guy, or girl for that matter, looked through my charts (gyno or otherwise). I'd tell anyone anything they wanted to know anyway. I just don't consider such things intimate. Everyone is different.

Yes, I have these connections quite often. I've been told by many that I have abilities...I'm not going to comment, but ask Xander about it...hahaha

Anyway, yes, you are right about animals. Our dog gets all wound up right before my mom gets home from work. And whines like a lunatic if she doesn't come home on time. Ugh!!! And one of our cats does the same thing for me. She waits at the door for me to come home and follows me around like a shadow...even whines at the bedroom door until I let her in. She comfortably curls up next to my feet...and awakens me in the morning...damn cat!! Who needs an alarm when the cat wakes you up? sucks on the weekends though.

I resemble that statement. My dogs are at the upstairs window several minutes before I even turn on to my street. I don't know how they know but they do. Of the four dogs, the lone male seems to be the most keen to my impending arrival. Time of day doesn't seem to matter.

Yeah I do believe in those although I have not yet had one myself. Usually all that happens is I think about someone and then I end up talking to them later on that day. Simple stuff I guess.

We must emit some strange brain waves when we read. My cat can ignore me all day, but if I lie down with a book, he’ll get up out of a dead sleep and plop down right on the book.

Yes, we all have connections, some stronger then others. Some with complete strangers. We are drawn to people, or repeled by what it tells us. The truth behind the facade. We just need to pay a bit more attention to what it is saying sometimes.

By the Way, how are you feeling?

And now I know how to get WriterDom's attention.

I'm feeling excellent.
The results to my lumbar puncture were negative, so they still don't know what is wrong with me-but, I don't have that damn headache anymore, which is beyond good. I ended up having to go get a blood patch (where they inject your own blood into your spinal column to form a clot where the spinal fluid is leaking out), last week to make it go away.

My neurologist is referring me to the head of neurology at the University of Penn...and ordering a second set of MRIs and EMGs. Blah, blah, blah.

I'm just happy that I can stand without a pounding in my head anymore. :)
Thanks for asking, merelan.

I believe this does happen. I have had similar occurrences my entire adult life. I also believe in fate and that somewhere out there is everyone's soulmate. When you find that person, your whole life will change for the better, either mentally, spiritually or physically or if you are lucky all three.
