Do we really need 20-40 parody threads per day?

Probably. But do they not even give you the slightest tickle? :(

I have been adding an "I miss Byron" option to my polls ;)

That does seem excessive.

Word play has long been a part of this place. Word play is a form of foreplay, and this was originally a literate place. So I am rather tolerant of them.

More importantly, I've concluded you were right about pit bulls all along, AJ.

Oh hell!

I was right about something and now I cannot, for the life of me, remember what it was. I am a poor parody of a poster...

Obviously time for a Parody Forum.

Make for an interesting parallel universe. You would know the thread was parody, so you would get less of the threads that take off because people don't realize it is a parody.

In such a system if threads were moved it would be high comedy when an initial thread was moved and the parody thread remained behind.

That happens often enough when someone responds to an old thread without realising that it was meant as a parody. It's even funnier when people sent PM responses to those old threads.

More generic quickly-ending never-ending threads populated by the same one-dozen people.

No, worse- the banter filled, fun GB threads.
