Are there really ladies out there that meet people from the net? I have posted a few ads on the "personals" board and have received no reply. Maybe my ads are just boring. I'm not a weirdo, psychopath, or pedophile- I just would like to meet someone to explore some fantasies with. So what is the deal? Should I stop wasting my time?

If you check the bottom of my post, (and most of the other registered users') you'll see an Icon for "mail." Your posts don't have that icon, so no-one can mail you a reply.

If you edit your profile to show that icon, then you might get more replies to a personal ad. Without it, you need to include your e-mail address in every post you might want a private reply to.

OH WOW!! LOOK OVER THERE!! (Now that everyone's looking the other way, I'm going to answer your question, don't tell nobody though!) I've met five guys in person whom I've first met on the net. Two of them I'd only known a couple of weeks, but they live here, so we just met some where public.

One lived about 100 miles from here, and I talked to him for a couple months before I met him, and in that case, it was actually a spur or the moment thing. (yes, I'm strange, at 6pm I decided to drive 100 miles to meet some guy, who turned out to be very dull, probably cause he'd killed too many brain cells... now someone answer me this, when a girl you don't know too well comes to your house, would you proceed to invite your friend over and pull out a big ol bong? And he told me he didn't smoke! Not even some side referance, like, well, I don't smoke cigarettes. Anyway...)

The other two I talked to for longer, since meeting them required plane trips. Over all, I suppose what made me want to meet these guys is because I could have actual conversations with them, both on-line, and on the phone. (Cause life isn't like 'you have mail', where people agree to meet without ever talking to one another on the phone and don't know one another's last names.) Ok, I lost my point again, I guess I'm in a babbling mood tonight! Leaving now...

You'd probably have better luck if you tried meeting people in a chat room. Don't press the idea of meeting in person, or even talking on the phone. start a email relationship.. write her some poetry.. after a while, you might want to hint at talking on the phone, but never push the idea. If you can get them on the phone, and they are reasonably close by, usually they'll meet you in person.

Bob people really do meet other people after talking to them online. Me and my ghost met that way, and although right now we can't be together, we still had many months of seeing each other, talking online everyday, and falling in love. I met him through another site and if you'd like that addy email me and I'll send it to you. By the way, since you live in NC and my brothers' name is Bob, you aren't him are you?.....now that would be my luck for my big brother to be on here and interrupting me when I'm having fun.
