the Hittites. they just liked killing in general. slaughter, kill, maim, throw the bodies of the enemy onto the spiked city walls as reminders of how they are good, and everybody else is dumb.

you see, dear dumbass, that most religions have quite a number of the mindless, fanatical followers, it's just that throughout history, most of them have had the backing and/or the power to deal out their wrath on other religions thru conventional warfare rather than terrorism. because of the fact that pretty much every last major religion out there today preaches more peacefull ways of removing the competition (meaning conversion), religious wars are a thing of the past. those who still believe in violence as a way to remove the opposition (IRA, Muslim extreemists, etc.) are so outspoken by the rest of the followers of their religion that they have to resort to extreem acts of terrorism to try to get the results they want.

fuckin' a! i'll tell you this right now, though i don't doubt you won't believe me: Islam is one of the most tollerant religions i've ever heard of.

I'd prefer to deal with Moslems with their deeply ingrained religious and social code than I would Christians who just pay lip service to both...

The only problem I would have is the nationality!

The Klu Klux Klan is a Christian organization (Protestant to be more specific). It's members believe they are doing what God wans them to do. The burning of the cross is considered to be a service to God.

Now there's a lovely bunch of folks...

Follwers of any religion take the word and interpret how they see fit. Some take such words and twist them in such a way that they end up with a strange perversion of what the words are meant to be. Roughly 1/4 of the world's population is Muslim, and it is a small percentage of this that has made this entire faith look as a faith of terrorism.

Sure,...we can recognise the fact of intending to kill,...or sacrifice anothers life according to the will of God,is not something we would NECESSARILY agree is correct,...but hell,...look at Abraham's example with the intended taking of his own(Abraham's) sons life.
