Nope. With a shiv.Brocolli? With Hollandaise?
(so now every time I see a squirrel or hear the word it makes me laugh!)I'm still waiting for you to explain the attack on the bat.I'm armed and I taste like broccoli.

That's not me. It's George. He's got...issues.I'm still waiting for you to explain the attack on the bat.
This brought back memories for me. I was 21 y.o. and on the 4th or 5th date with a guy who came from money. I had been invited to join him at his parent's penthouse on Sutton Pl in NYC for a dinner party. The dinner conversation was about which is tastier duck liver or goose liver. When asked my opinion I said that I found duck tastier and although gutting the goose is easier and cleaner I preferred to clean a duck over a goose because the quill on the goose feather is harder to remove compared to when I plucked and gutted a duck's. Everyone's side conversations stopped and the whole room went silent. Realizing that I must of made a blunder but not knowing what, I decided to make up for my error by saying " Now I prefer to clean a rabbit over a squirrel because it's bigger so gutting and skinning is a lot easier. Also the rabbit is easier to shoot then the squirrel so the huntings better But I'll take squirrel over rabbit any day because it's much tastier then rabbit. I then offered to bring a pot of rabbit stew and a pot of squirrel stew the next time I visited so they taste it. Needless to say I never saw him again.... his lose.. although it's been years I know I can still make a kick ass pot of squirrel stew.....
Sorry Liar I hope none of the squirrels that I put in my stew pot were your relatives
That's a great story— what a fuckin' hoot! I've been in places like that and I always pity the folk who have no exposure to the outdoors— their lives are restricted and circumscribed— and they don't know it!
There's a real trick to cleaning and roasting goose and duck; if it's not done right, they don't taste right. While there are exceptions, for the most part, our brethren in Nieww Yawk City ( and urbanites, in general ) haven't got a clue where food comes from.
Reading the last few entries, started me reminiscing about sitting along the edge of southern river, eating Moon Pies and sippin on a cold bottle of RC Cola.
Not to mention, chucking stones at squirrels.
Nah, they just got some geeky little squirels down there. With us Viking squrrels, you'd only need about ten.My neighbor had been in Kansas City and brought back a recipe book for community cookouts.
The Brunswick Stew Recipe called for "72 Squirrels", they must be feeding the bears?![]()
What? No red cream sody? For shame.
