Okay this is not a poll, I just usually try to start with a title that will set the tone, sort of like a book title. Of course sometimes you write the story and the title comes later and seeing that I didn't feel like using "Not another intriguess thread" again I figured my flippant title would draw those who already read my stuff.
Okay now that I've blathered on here's the opening.

Mackenzie was tired and horny, which wasn't all that unusual for her especially now. She slipped out of bed, it was hard to believe that four months ago they'd been saying good bye. Of course he hadn't known that until the next day when she'd left and divorce papers had been served. Their lives had been going different directions for a while and when her latest temp job offered her a full time position she accepted. Today was the day that they were signing the final papers and it would be all neat and legal. Today she would have to face him one last time. Today she had to hold it together.
She had flown in late last night and even know she wondered how things would go. Mackenzie showered, trying to rinse off the tiredness, even as the warm water only made her more horny. She sighed as her nipples tightened and groaned as her fingers slipped downward as if they had a mind of their own. She still fantasized about him and a few minutes later she was gasping for breath.
Mackenzie relunctantly left the shower and was glad the mirrors had fogged up, she'd never been skinny. She shook her head, her soon to be ex had always made her feel like the only woman in the room. She bit her lip, it was a necessary evil the divorce, sure the sex was good, but being intimate was never the problem. Finding time to be together when their careers pulled them in opposite direction was, avoiding talking about things by fucking like bunnies was definetly a problem.
Mackenzie splayed her hands over her abdomen, it was the biggest lie in the world. She was pregnant and she was determined to keep it, and luckily the baby seemed content to hide so far. She could tell the difference, but once dressed she'd look just as fat as she'd always been.
Mackenzie had tried to call when she'd found out, but when a woman answered the phone she had freaked out. The child was one piece of him she would have forever. Her lawyer did not know, and she found herself facing the meeting with anticipation and dread.
She dressed slowly, taking her time with her appearance, wearing something nice, but proffessional. Mackenzie decided not to bother with make up, there was no reason to hide how tired she felt. She glanced at the clock and headed out, she flagged a taxi and the ride to the lawyers seemed to take forever and once over seemed to have gone past in blink of an eye.
She squared her shoulders and hoped for the best even as she prepared for the worst.
