Do Gay Guys Prefer Facial Hair?

I used to have a goatee and got a LOT of compliments from gay guys about my looks. Since I shaved it, I don't get nearly as many. I am really interested in attracting a mate. I was told I look distinguished before I shaved it. Now I get carded for cigarettes and I'll be 39 this year! Should I grow the facial hair back and if so how much? Mustache, Van dyke, goatee, full beard? What's the story here?

I find that I look best if I keep my facial hair trimmed close so that I always look like I have a day's growth. If I go clean-shaven, I look like a girl with my long hair. If I let it grow too much, people start thinking I look like Jesus.

I don't really have a preference on facial hair. As long as it doesn't end up in my mouth, it's not an issue.

Depends on the guy. Gay men like women have their own personal preference in what to wake up next to. Pick whatever you like having and go with that. You don't want a shallow guy, cause those leave after you get a little older, gain some weight or a prettier model comes along.
