I love double standards

The Democratic National Committee chair, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is in Boston today to hold an event to urge Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release his tax returns.

"Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will join Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh to discuss former Governor Mitt Romney’s history of fighting transparency amid new reports that the Republican presidential candidate has secret bank accounts in foreign tax havens," a Democratic National Committee press release states.

The goal for Wasserman Schultz is clear: To get Romney to release tax returns and other financial documents.

But the irony of today's event is rich: Debbie Wasserman Schultz has refused--and continues to refuse--to release her own tax returns.

Is the DNC chief running for president or is Jen too dumb to know what a double standard is?

Releasing tax returns is NOT a requirement to run for President. Being a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN is. We need a non-Kenyan, like the Constitution requires...

The 'Artful Dodger', who doesn't want to acknowledge the ECONOMIC TRAINWRECK of four years of Obama....

Well jolly good then, you've got nothing but.

It's not a requirement, it is however a tradition.

Edit: Whoa. . .is coach a fucking birther? Have we really not shamed all of them into silence yet?

Jeninfla should be urged to release something as well:rolleyes:

I vote for her soul into the ether. Then I'm gonna bring her back as a cricket and I'll put that cricket in a box. Then I'll put that box in a bigger box and mail it to myself and smash it with a hammer!

Omg, you are a fucking idot. Run along and go play with the other trolls. I'm not running for any kind of office, nor would I, nor could I ever work in "government" as I would be to flipping board. Political "people" are corrupt

Has Harrington released hers?

Also, we should put term limits in place...the longer someone stays in office the higher the corruption as they become part of the game.

Imagine the shake up, if after 8 years they are booted out of office

Thanks. At least now I know why Sean would take a baseball bat to you. Nice spelling.

If I were you, I would put myself on iggy.

I'm not sure, anyone that runs for public office should release his or her tax returns. That would be interesting.
According to her campaign site, she hasn't. She says she will "upon media request". Why not lead by example?

yeah, like that will happen in our lifetimes. Can you imagine if that was someone's slogan and was open and honest?

Imagine the lack of caring about their disctrics in their last term, if they can't defend their seat anyway.

No, they can now focus on doing the right thing, and not personal greed like Chris Dodd, barney frank, anthony weiner, , eliot spitzer, Charles Rangel, just to name a few (all corrupt and all milking the system)

What we need to do is rescind the 16th Amendment (income tax), and remove the funding authority from Congress, making funding of new laws a state perogative. They should be the ones to decide whether to and to what degree to support federal laws by votes of the state legislatures. Let the US congress make all the laws they wish, but w/o spending authority. Take away the money, and government will become limited, as will the associated corruption.

This post makes no sense.

Not worrying about re-election means politicians can be fully bought for two years. Worrying about re-election means they are only semi-bought.

Also, re. your list of names there: This is why nobody takes you seriously.

Sadly, here on literotica we have too many people that rely on that very government for his or her income. They quite simply refuse to work

just look at the number of mentally challenged people who want "higher" taxes

Federal government will become limited. If you don't think state overreach will pick up the slack, you're delusional.

Yea, Really! Without Pelosi and Reid on that list, it makes no sense at all!

Taxes in the US should not exceed 10% total for all taxes, of all types combined. There is nothing we need from government that should EVER exceed that total.
