The system seems to be rigged.
There's a thought poking at my brain... A memory, even. Something I seem to remember about the year 1776. -ish. The over-all circumstances are quite different, but there's a quite similar base driving force saying things like:
* you don't represent us as a people
* we're tired of paying for other people's crap
* stop making us do things that hurt us
* quit taking our damn money
* we want our freedoms
* we want to be citizens, not subjects
I wonder where I've seen something like that before?
Each of the EU countries were sovereign nations before before joining, but they voluntarily gave that up to cuddle up in the security blanket of letting someone else play daddy and mommy for them, as long as they can have the illusion of playing boss every once in a while. Oh yeah, and free money from richer neighbors. "Free"
To be honest, I have followed this subject kind of regularly, but I'm the first to admit I don't know many of the finer details, and it doesn't immediately effect most of my life. That being said, I would be happy to see a "hard Brexit", if for no other reason than to essentially bitch-slap the conceited smug asshole politicians who keep standing in the way of doing the will of the people.

May I suggest you stop using Amazon.
You (I'm guessing) dislike the EU. but you miss the point. The EU is made up of people like you and I. Europeans. Normal people who vote, pay there tax and want their kids to live in a better world than the one we grew up in.
Amazon is a virus that doesn't pay it's share of tax. Leaches of Society. And does you no good in the long run.
What society do you actually want? Who proposed having the referendum? Who benefits from the current cluster fuck? I'll give you a clue. The answer will not be you or I.
