Disappearing votes?

I went to submit a new story and while doing that I looked over the views and votes of my story "Atkins Diet Disaster" and I could of sworn I had more votes. It seems to have dropped in votes, it also pulled up my average ranking of votes for that story. So a few negative votes vanished. What is the reason for this?

I don't mind if readers give me a low score since I know I'm not at the level of many literotica writers and I could of done a better job on that lesbian story. However I wished they would give me their opinion why they didn't like it and advice on how they would of improved it.

It happens -

Laurel and Manu often check for fraudulent votes.

They will delete multiple scores from the same address, or multiple '1' votes in a row (where it is obvious someone is attempting to skew the scoring).

That makes sense. It worked in my favor this time since my story got that magical red H now. Though I don't think it deserves it when comparing the positive feedback I got emailed to me for my first story and the lack of emailed feedback for this one.

The reading public are a fickle lot. I've never managed to work out any method behind their madness. Why they even bother to read any of my stuff beats me.
