Disappearing Posts?

Is it just me or have all of yesterdays posts disappeared off the 'Selling the War' thread?

Last post is Mab's an hour ago, one before that is on 3rd May. Is the 'Selling the War' thread being moderated?

ETA: My screen shows a thirty hour gap between Mab's recent post and the previous post?

We don't have moderators per se so if something's vanished its more likely to be spam than anything else.

Thank's for confirming FD & J-L. There are about two pages of posts missing, not spam and nothing particularly contencious, unless 'politiks' is contencious. Not even any out of the ordinary insults

seems to be a common mistake with site admins handling back up servers and vB 3. I know Skyscrapercity and Skyscraperpage had similar problems last week and typos are to be found in the config files.

I may have some of them - I haven't emptied my email trash folder and I get thread post notifications.

If you have any of those thread notifications, can you PM me or post details of any of the missing posts? I am trying to identify the post # of any of the missing posts. So far, I don't see anything to say that there has been any problems, but if several of you are sure they are missing, then something must have happened. Still checking!

That's good news, but I don't think it was my doing. I was looking into the backups and having problems finding any posts missing. Which posts have returned? The thread is still only 6 pages long when I look at it.

Wow... this is confusing. I normally have Lit open. I've moved my writing to a new user a profile, effectively a seperate idenity on a Macbook, and logged in using my Lit name from the new user profile for the first time. It now shows posts on the affected thread down to 613 on page 27. This morning, when I reported the fault the post numbers 128, 129. My post of this morning, (130) and a few others concerned with the problem, don't appear - the numbers are assigned to the original posts, though new posts from a couple of hours ago do.

I checked back to 130 and did not see my morning post there... curious eh?

Just checked back to the previous user profile and see all the posts except those mention above.
