Is anyone else out there familiar with Mighty Mike McGee? He's an awesome spoken-word poet that a friend recently discovered for me by accident. Anyone not familiar with him, Google the version of his performance of "Like" on HBO. It was sent to me, and it really stuck in my head. I've ordered his book and chatted with him--he's great all-around. Unfortunately, parts of his poem caused me side effects, some of which are explained with the poem, here, that this produced:
So I think that was definitely a factor in the twisted themes of my dreams last night--and why I have been unable to get the really twisted images out of my head. It's been like psychedelic visual elevator music. Finally, I have caved to the 'monsters' in my head, and done it up. My hope for a cure is to send it back to its home planet, and ask it not to return to my head. Maybe that's it...if not, this is sure to be the biggest schizcom series of all time--lol. Here it is:
With every thrust
She rocks up on the wires
Binding both her wrists down
Her hair is waving in soft tufts
Rhythmically back-and-forth
Like seaweed under the sea
In unblinking intensity she rides
Her dry mouth gaping open
Surreally, it's as if her voice
Is coming from somewhere else
As her excitement is building
The pumping arm picks up speed
Her downy mane is thrashing in the storm
Squeals echoing from across the room
Until her jaw finally hitches to the side
And wires suddenly ping from off her wrists
Rebounding off the far wall and the
Incoherent two-headed director
She collapses facedown on the floor
Her sweat-plastered hair is now
Looking like mangled cotton candy
Prairie Dawn leans down to her ear
Whispering, 'Say it into the camera'
Shakily she turns herself over
Feeling like a big furry jellyfish
"Brought to you by the letter 'O' "
She is slurring the words, while
P.D. wipes her fingers on her dress
Holds up her sticky hand, saying
"And the number 4"

As you probably noticed, it does not have a title yet. Suggestions for the title, by people who have read it so far, include:
+ The Letter of the Day is 'O' + Sexame Street + Trashcan Confessions + After Hours + It's 3:AM and the Kids Are Asleep + That Was So Good, Me Need Cookie + This Little Freak Is Doin' Her Own Thing + Every Street Has An Alley...
Anybody got a better one? Wanna vote for your favorite? If you're too embarrassed to post, them IM me--If I'm unable to get rid of my problem, you guys will be the first to know--lol!!!--Ariel
