Exactly my thought.

We're celebrating more deaths in India.
I guess it's now an approved form of population control...,

... you know, extreme poverty instead of just poverty.

I wonder how many of us are going to marshal our funds and energies
to create a new, prosperous and green India.
Do we have that much wealth?

People are literally dying from the lockdown in India. Too rapid, and with no consideration towards the vast numbers living hand to mouth. Deaths from air pollution are too common, but it's hard to celebrate when the environmental gains are made at the expense of the lives of the poor. But then, without decent sanitary, nutrition and access to healthcare, corona would decimate them too.

It's all just so fucking depressing.

We're bitching because we can't go to the pub, or we might have to queue to get into a shop and wear a mask. Some people are trapped, 6 to a one room shack, with no running water, toilet or food.

A drop in pollution is great, of course, but it's cold to celebrate right now.
