dirth of Incest Stories?

I never thought I would see the day. Perusing the New Stories index on the story side, I sense ( I have not actually counted) a slowing of new incest stories.

Although controversial, this category is a staple of Lit, almost certain to get lots of views.

Maybe what we need is some novel incest notions.

Ideas anyone?

must be my excessive gearth affecting my spelling

my observation is entirely ancedotal as to the number of new stories. By contrastm, there seems to be an upsurge of nonconsent stories. I am not being judgmental of either genre, just opportunity spotting.


The popularity of the genre is demonstrated by the number of submissions in total, and their prevalence on the most read list.

Since incest is defined as sexual intercourse between close relatives, I wonder how we could have some "novel" notions.

I do understand that incest differs in detail between the legal systems of different countries, but not by that much.

Forget all that I just wrote - here's a new one:

Fred is 18, his mother is 36, his grandmother is 54 (this is the farthest apart I have seen stories on Lit), his great-grandmother is 72, and his great-great-grandmother is 90. All of those are Lit legal, and we all know that these timescales could be shorter in RL.

So who's going to write Fred Screws His Great-great-grandmother?

I was thinking novel plot twists, settings, details etc
Though with 9000+ stories already, it might be tough to be truly original, I have faith in the Story Ideas gang.

I'll tell ya why there aren't that many incest stories of late, and why there aren't so many high-scoring, original ones at that - I've been having a break for a bit! (Damn uni and broken-down laptop, curse it all! )

I do have a seven parter I've been sitting on for a long time now. It's just that it's a sequel. The original did quite well for my standards - and I'm scared to see it ripped to shreds.

if you want ripped to shreads, try writing a Loving Wives tale.....you get the inevitable "stone the bitch" feedback, as if people expected fidelity in that category.... why do they read incest if in family sex disturbs them so?
