Most commercially available cinnamon oil contains Red dye so i couldn't use it. (allergic to dye)..but same principle could be used with peppermint oil, Vapo-rub, or Ben-Gay. (Toothpaste does nothing for me.)

I've not tried that yet but I have used clothes pins after clamping the onto ginger root overnight. The results were mixed.

I have found some interesting uses for bobbi pins though. They seem to work better on clits than clothes pins and you can hide them easier.
