Dillinger??? Explain...

The one I'm using currently?

Its kind of my incarnation as the God Pan... and falls into some of my beliefs in terms of paganism and magick and...

Now if you knew more about the "eye in the pyramid" that I use as my other icon you might find that even more disturbing.

Besides... take a good look at the pic and you'll get an idea of the prize Laurel is sending you. *grin*

So I'll take it that by "disturbing" you mean "inescapably intrigued?"

I got a word for ya

:p

Siren - you've got a standing invitation... and believe me, its already standing at attention!

You need to go to the Awards and Contest BB... she tells you the prize right there.

It IS a life sized replica of the Gnufi Penis! *grin*

Believe me... your ass will be on fire if you give me 1/2 a chance...

I kinda like the new Golden Apple.

Brings to mind my Mythology course in High School.

*chuckles and waves* Hi, Dill. Hi, *bratcat*!

Thanks! That's exactly what it is... Eris or Eris Esoterica - the Goddess of Discord - and the Goddess of Discordians... *smile*

The inscription on the apple - KALLISTI - means "To The Prettiest One" - during a banquet at Zeus' place she rolled it into the hall... Athena, Hera, and Aphrodite, each immediately claimed it to belong to herself because of the inscription. A fight ensued... Zeus stopped the fighting and declared that an arbitrator must be selected. Paris, a shephard in Troy, was chosen as the arbiter.

Each of the goddesses tried to outwit the others by going early and offering a bribe to Paris. Athena offered him Heroic War Victories, Hera offered him Great Wealth, and Aphrodite offered him the Most Beautiful Woman on Earth. Being a healthy young Trojan lad, Paris promptly accepted Aphrodite's bribe and she got the apple and he got screwed.

As she had promised, she maneuvered earthly happenings so that Paris could have Helen (The Helen) then living with her husband Menelaus, King of Sparta. Anyway, everyone knows that the Trojan War followed when Sparta demanded their Queen back and that the Trojan War is said to be The First War among men.

This is called THE DOCTRINE OF THE ORIGINAL SNUB

Among other things I consider myself to be a Discordian.

I've told you before the one eye pyramid and your burning man icons both give me the creeps. The apple isn't so bad- keep that one for awhile, will ya?

Sure... I'll hang on to the apple for a while. But you know - the message behind the apple and the eye in the pyramid are not all that different. *grin*
