Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things and drink whatever comes out."?

Or who was the first person to say, "See that chicken there.......I'm going to eat the next thing that comes out of it's butt."

I think this is the same guy who sat next to me in Biology 101

Why do people point to their wrist when they ask you for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask you where the bathroom is?

Nah, it's a good thing!!:D

Think about this......If corn oil is made from corn and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, then what is baby oil made from?

What brought this idea up? My 14 year old asked these same questions on Thursday night! Just wondering if you saw them the same place she did! Is it just a spooky thing or what!

Not to get all literal in a funny thread, but I'm thinking that if people observed calves drinking from their mothers, maybe they thought, "Hey - we eat that cow, maybe we can drink the milk too..."

Just a thought. ;)

Such deep thoughts, Cleo!!

Does pushing the elevator button more than once make it arrive faster??

I'm pretty sure pushing the button more than once only serves to reassure the person doing the pushing that they indeed did push the button correctly.

;)

And yep, that seems to be all I'm capable of today - no fluff for me. *grin*

Some Answers

Since our children drink our breast milk it isn't a far step to drinking the breast milk of other animals...in fact humans drink goats, yak, and horse milk also...not just cow...

It is easiter to catch a egg than chicken, and humans in the past would eat eggs right up to the point before hatching (ie the embryos)

Jimmy cracked corn, but I don't care, coz the master's gone away and if that slave driving bastard is gone and loses a penny profit because Jimmy cracked the corn...why do I care? Unless he beats me for it when he gets back.

Pointing at your wrist has limited meanings..however pointing at the crotch can have many. The pee pee dance only has one. If asking doesn't work for the bathroom, doing the pee pee dance usually does.

Here's one for you: The stalks of Rubarb are ok to eat, but the leaves are posionous...how did they figure that one out.

Trial and extreme error?

Why does a deadly material when injested (Chlorene), and a highly explosive element (Sodium) mix together to make table salt?

Actually, every acid and base when combined makes some kind of a salt and water. The question is...who tasted the dried residue of (extremely dangerous) hydrochloric acid and the extremely caustic base, sodium hydroxide?

Now that I think about it, people probably tried sea salt first, as what was left over when sea water evaporated.

Forget what I said about tasting residue. ;)

I'd agree, but I still think people probably observed animals eating it first, and thought "If they can...I can". You'd still have to be pretty hungry to get that desperate.
