Lena sat looking at the paper on her desk… On “official letter head” that goof Spencer has actually told her she is cordially required accompany him home to a wine and wings night with him and Greg… Seriously… If she had known they were going to gang up on her like this over every little rough patch in her life… She never would have introduced the two of them to each other. She knew why they were doing this… She and Jaxon had hit a rough patch in their relationship which ended in their splitting up and as was her way she had kinda blamed herself and had again become a reclusive. Keeping to just going to work and home unless life demanded more from her like buying food and such as that. Greg had known her most of her life and this was probably more his idea than it was Spencer but Spencer was picking up on things about her and now with Greg there to tell him more she was outnumbered. She also knew what she was going to hear from the two of them about Jaxon... Greg nor Spencer cared much at all for him... honestly she thought they hated him and Jaxon thought they were jealous. She knew deep down Jaxon could be as bad as they thought he was a tad aggressive but love always made her see it as more him being passionate rather than dangerous.

She called Spencer’s extension on the in house line there at work and sighed.

Hello Spencer… Fine you two win I will attend the wine and wings night tonight on one condition and this goes for both of you… The first I told ya so I am out of there even if I have to walk home okay…

You had better call and let Greg know the stipulation as well… Oh he knows I would walk home.

I should be done with the Francen account in about an hour.

What kinds of wine… Well Chianti you both know I love and what about Sangrias… Yeah the little 4 pack bottles like Carlie had a ton of at the office pool party…

Okay see you in 1 hour…

She hung up the phone and looked at the account. Mr Francen was a sweet old man but trying to make any changes to this account to get him any more money would be easier done if she were a magician…maybe. She sighed and found a way of getting a dime more in his returns per quarter and tossing her pen down on the desk and hitting enter to save for the final time she sat back and took a deep breath before looking up at her office door to see Spencer standing there waiting for her and sighed but smiled.

Lets go

She picked up her jacket and putting it on and then grabbing her purse. 28 and already a partner in the firm for 3 years and she still looked young enough to be mistaken for a secretary or extra typist during the rush times. She smoothed her hand over her jacket and dress and walked out with Spencer.

They had sat in Spencer’s office earlier that day; it was just about lunch, so they had treated themselves to drinks. Spencer sipped his, then looked at Greg

“It’s the same all the time, every time her relationships crash at rock bottom, she makes a huge dramatic commotion. While in reality, she eats men, she never cares about them, and of lust she always picks the wrong type. Take Jaxon, for example. Not that he’s a criminal, I can respect that, you might say were criminals ourselves here, but it’s his dim witted lack of ambition. I mean, Lena is lightyears beyond anyone like him”

Greg didn’t respond, he was getting to know Lena well, but this was out of his sphere. It was interesting though, not least that Spencer was revealing her like that. He was really getting into the inner circle.

Spencer just nodded to himself and carried on “Yeah, and it always ends the same, after a period of bottomless seclusion she moves on to the next adventure, and it lasts anything from a week to a year, and then we do it again”

Now Greg responded “Pardon for asking, being blunt, but I wondered, back in university, before the partnership, you were a professor right? And she did her masters. Did you ever, I mean, I’ve heard stories she was quite the thing, right?”

Spencer smiled, shrugged it off, but Greg saw a hint of remorse

“Well, no, never. It was close many times, she dated another faculty member for a while in fact, in secret, but everyone knew, I think she dated a faculty members spouse too, actually, on the side, but if that is true, it really was secret, there were rumors though. And she dated students, by the dozens. We were close at that time, and after a few of those break ups, I almost became the bounce back, but it kinda stopped itself. I’m not sure why, but at least partly because of my reluctance for making a scandal.”

Greg smiled and sipped his drink, leant back in the chair and looked at Spencer “You regret that now, right?”

Spencer laughed “Hah! Yeah, maybe I do, but maybe the times were different. If you’re asking me if I’d do her now, though, that’s another matter”

Greg laughed back and rose his glass “Cheers to that, partner, who wouldn’t?”

After that Spencer leant forward, looked at Greg, more seriously minded. “You know, that brings me to the topic I wanted to talk to you about. I’ve seen this many times, and Lena is ripe for the picking at right about this stage” He smiled.

Greg shrugged and leant forward too, eyebrow raised “Yeah?” he replied “It sure sounds that way from what you’re saying. So, are you thinking to do the picking yourself this time?”

“Maybe” Spencer answered

“But why tell me? Do you need my blessing? I say go for it” said Greg

Spencer thought for a minute, then looked Greg straight in the eyes

“It should be something extra ordinary, I feel that after all this time, all the times I could have had her. I have to provide something incredibly special”

Greg just looked back puzzled “Yeah?” again, then “And are you asking me for ideas? Are you thinking I’m versed in some SM stuff, maybe? Or the best role player ever or some such?”

“I’m thinking that I know a certain fantasy of hers” Spencer replied “I’ve seen her considering it, and even herd her drunken mention. I don’t know if she ever realized it, not that I ever saw, but two men? That’s probably just the recipe to get Lena out of that ridiculous Jaxon daze”

Greg almost gagged on his drink, coughed and put down the glass

“And you’re thinking you and me?”

Spencer nodded smiling “Yes. Tonight, at my place” and then it was his turn to lift an eyebrow “What? You not up for that? Aren’t you a pirate?”

Greg laughed “Pirate, yeah, we are, cheers!”

Their glasses touched and they drank “This requires a refill, old man” and Greg topped them up.

“I’m not gay, you know, or remotely bi. I wouldn’t really touch you” Greg continued after a bit of a silence

“Ok” Spencer nodded “I don’t think Lena has any objections to that, from what I understand she’s greedy, and can take it all for her so to speak”

“And how do we go about this, old man? Have you like spoken to her about it?” Greg questioned

“No. And I’m not that old, I’m 42. You’re only eight years younger” Spencer said sternly, Greg laughed

“So how do we make it happen?” he continued

“Well, we play it by ear and Chianti, but we make sure to treat her like a lady, while reminding her what a poor fuck Jaxon was, in double meaning, crap talking her exes usually gets her hot, I’ve noticed. Then we remind her that the general assembly is coming up, with the merger, where she could potentially get stakes in the mother company with you and me, which will get her thinking. Those stocks are incredibly valuable, and she only need yours and mine approval got get in for herself. I think after that, she will want to do pretty much anything we say for so many reasons she’ll be burning. It’s power and lust.”

“Let’s go”

Spencer stood in her doorway, looking her over while she got sorted in that incredibly hot, though office approved white dress, and put on her sophisticated jacket. They picked his car up, and were off, on the 20 minute ride to the hills outside town, where his mansion stood high and secluded on a big plot of land overlooking the skyline horizon and the bay.

“Greg will be along in a while, he’s picking up the wine” Spencer said, as he took her jacket and lead her into the panoramic living room, big, with a center piece fire place circled by big sofas and futons, and two wide steps up to a patio, full height windowed wall overlooking the wide veranda outside and spectacular views.

He took off his own jacket and stood in a shirt and suit pants

“What do you think about Greg, Lena?” he asked, standing behind her, eying her buttocks as she stood back to him, admiring the star spangled moonlit night over the city below “I’d dare say he likes you, the way he looks at you. I don’t know, but based on our past lives together, I’d guess he’s kinda your type, right? Do you ever think of him that way since the three years you’ve been with us?”
