Did/do you dream of your wedding?

I've had friends who planned their wedding, even when they had no mate in sight. One was married twice and at her second reception, she was planning yet her third wedding to another guy! Some of these gals did things like putting a wedding dress or ring on layaway, even though they were single.

Maybe I'm just a grumpy old fuddy duddy, but I never had wedding dreams. I did actually get married and was supposed to have planned the wedding ahead of time, but did nothing other than snag a dress at some some off-price place like Ross. It wasn't even a wedding dress but a cream colored two piece satin suit with fancy buttons. I figured it would do.

We would up eloping in Reno because he was in the military and got transferred to another state. I don't recall any sort of party with *my* family, but we did have a fancy dinner with his. No cake.

Anyhoo... I got to thinking about this. If you did dream of your wedding, what all did it involve? Did you also dream of the reception? Honeymoon? Wedding night?

The only thought I ever had on the matter was that I would not wear white as it washes me out. Ha!

The fairytale wedding is some bullshit life goal we're supposed to strive towards. You get married, you live happily ever after. We tell children this shit.

No. Weddings creep me out and I've never made it past the engagement. It's caused a few rows, but since I'm not with those guys anymore I was obviously right.

My bodybuilding toyboy with the huge cock© has had wedding dreams since before we met. I know all about them and they ain't gonna happen. I'd maybe go for a civil partnership, without too much fuss and frills, but that's my limit.

Heh. Weddings creep me out too! Haven't been to one in about 16 years. I hate dressing up, sitting in church, and the silly reception with food that I don't want to eat and a bad DJ or band. Just not for me.

Weddings seemed a lot easier when I was a kid. They were less formal, the service was shorter, and afterwards, you'd make a quick trip to the church basement for nuts, mints, cake, punch of coffee. Over and done in two hour or less. These days they are a half day event!

I actually love weddings, the 'after' reception part in particular.
They're a chance to meet all sorts of people without the awkwardness, and the entertainment part, food and wedding cake are great.

But like dolf mentioned, I never understood the psychology behind it
- why so many brides, even realistic ones get caught up in it and are so keen on making it a fairytale, one man show type of thing.

I never day dreamed as a young girl/ teen about a wedding or the dress etc.

Being really shy when I did get married the first time it was very low key, family a few friends, finger food and wham bam thank you mam done and dusted.

When I married bigred we got married in a courthouse really quickly surrounded by our kids as he was not at all well and then back to the cardio ward for cake and a small glass of bubbly with a morgue photography all organized by the nurses and I was tickled pink. More like purple as I am highly allergic to girly pink. ;) :D

Had a "dream" about sissy wedding and wearing a wonderful white wedding dress with all the trimmings.
Had a sissy ceremony on the 10th anniversary of sissydum. It was wonderful, She in Her tux and sissy with a long train marching down the isle. Then sissy got to throw the flowers and garter. It felt so wonderful. Then for the reception sissy was decked out with arm binder, ankle cuffs, posture collar and penis gag. The honeymoon night was spent with the guys going between Her room and sissy's room. Such a good time.

Yeah. That seems weird to me.

Hehe. Purple is my favorite color.

Very nice!

I would love to get married one day but i am not sure i want to have a huge wedding.
I imagine that my bride has a beautiful dress from princessly and i am wearing a simple dark blue suit.
Would be perfect to celebrate this event only with the closed friends somewhere next to the ocean.
