Did BDSMFriend bite the dust?

BDSMFriend was a web site that was very much (maybe too much) like Facebook. People that went there wondered how it could be so similar to Facebook without Facebook clamping down on it.

Maybe it did? Anybody know?

Judging from the response to this thread, I can come to my own conclusion as to what happened to BDSMfriend dot com. I guess it was mostly a lack of interest.

I guess it was around for about 2 years or so. Maybe it was just a year. It was very much like Facebook and when it came out, many wondered how long it would last because of that. Then, I guess one of the coders of Facebook could have been involved. You never know.

I think there was a thread about it, back when it started up. You must have missed it. I can understand that. You get used to the threads you know about, and so many new ones get started in such a short time.

At first, the site was pretty lame, because it looked like nobody was joining. But, it soon picked up and I think there were quite a few posters. I really didn't know anybody there, but pretty soon, some from Lit did join. Many of us had the same name as here, even the same AV.

I don't know what happened. One day, I just couldn't log in, like the site had never been there. No explanation or anything. Poof. At least when a brick and mortar store closes, they leave a sign or something for the people who had visited.

This online stuff is sure pretty good at leaving you wondering.
