bitter air's the only phrase there i like! and no, i hadn't thought of doing that. it might make for an interesting poem, though.

howdy there 1201-

Weren't you the one that said just because it is thought of doesn't mean it should be done ;)

I remember someone attempting a cliche only poem and it was rancid and that was popular opinion, not just mine.

There have been some so boring they seemed as if they were tags only poems.

Would that qualify as found poetry?

:rose:

p.s. when I saw dear Ellie's quote, I thought of you and your great mind.

are we talking about my Postcard:rolleyes:? It had one very strange and original line, which if you unraveled you see that the cliches are something else.

But as for the other, I never listen, not even to myself, but no, I'm not planning on a "story tag" poem, something better, the truth:rolleyes:, when was the last time you saw a poet write about the truth:rolleyes:, not just any old truth, but the truth:rolleyes: in italized impact gray font.

Now, if I can just get the sarcastic smiley bastards over to submissions.

originally cliché poem

Lust shoveled in a bucket
and toted over yonder
to Ernest McGee.

Farmer and Hoe in the barn,
both blazing.
I pitched the contents on their fire
but passion leapt higher.

The loft ignited.
Sparks fell into the hay,
injured.

I soothed all three
with lust from the bottom of the bucket.

(Okay, no laughing at my poem)

found this?
