I recently read (in a sexology journal) the average dick length is 5". Honestly, I find that hard to believe, considering the humongous dicks out there, that are supposed to be included in calculating the average.

I'm not interested in personally measuring a bunch of random dudes to get a representative sample. Therefore, I'll go with the research which gives the average at somewhere around 5.2" or so. The research also says about 90% of us are in the 4.2 to 6.2 inches range. So small would be below 4.2 and big would be greater than 6.2. Those figures represent two standard deviations from the mean. In my opinion, this means tiny would be under 3.5" and really big would be anything over 7 inches.

The research also indicates that you could add or subtract a couple of tenths(that's it) to the average based on average body size for a given population. The real numbers are not nearly as exciting as porn and erotica would lead us to believe.

I agree with all you said. It’s easy to look up the science and see the actual numbers, which are a lot less impressive than most people’s personal accounts. Also, most people measure incorrectly and don’t specify if they use BP or NBP. Many don’t even know what that means, and I would suspect that unless one is way overweight or obese, NBP is used . And if BP is used, one should press lightly until resistance is met. It’s unwise to push all the way to the bone because the person doesn't need a bone biopsy. For most men at normal weight, the fat pad difference is about half an inch plus or minus. I brought up the whole topic not because I don’t know, but because I am into light SPH, and like to hear people’s overestimation of size, knowing it will undoubtably be greater than my own.

I just thought the response was mean-spirited and unnecessary. It implied that I was too lazy to look up the answer when I could find it in less than one minute with an AI Google search. My purpose, in part, in asking the question was not to find the accurate answer but to feed my fetish as so many people have size misconceptions. I wanted to “feel” these misconceptions out. My personal experience hasn't (apparently) provided a statistically significant sample size. All but 1 have been greater than about 6.5" hard. And my only other as small as that (6.5-ish) is my current husband. The other dozens have been 7-?? (I can just say, too huge for a 2nd go). I'd guess my 1st husband was about 9" hard, & I found that quite perfect for day to day "use" .
