why won't those greedy bastards do the right thing?

Why do you want to steal money from retired people? Is this a Republican thing, or did you think of this yourself?

they earned a pay check. the right thing for those greedy bastards is to hand over the pension. time to stick it back to those greedy government fucktards

surrender your pension now!

They worked form their pension. I know you've never earned a dime in your life, but how would you feel if someone stole your husbands pension?

Do you know that stealing is wrong?

I doubt your ability to comprehend the reality of government pensions and I have no specific knowledge of Detroit's financial problems, but I'm going to guess that when those people were hired, they had no choice but to join a pension plan. They were told that a portion of their financial compensation would be given to them when they retire.

You live in Florida and have accepted the benefits and services provided by government workers, funded by tax payers but now you want to skip out without paying the bill. And that makes you a rather deranged deadbeat.

clearly you and those government workers feel that steeling is okay! the right thing for those people in Detroit is to surrender the pension and pay back the tax payer.

its the government and government workers greed that is sinking American.

do you know that stealing is wrong?

Why not steal everyone's pensions? If government workers can be robbed, why not anyone else?

Why not just seize anyone's savings? You are a very bad person, Jenn. You want to steal money from old people. That is shameful.

You are the greediest person I have ever encountered.

What logic requires the secured bond holders take a haircut against the ill gotten gains resulting from corrupt politicians negotiating unsustainable contract benefits?

Do you advocate stealing pensions to pay corporate debts?

The tax payer, who pays for that pension; interests were not represented.

Most private sector workers believe public workers in almost all cases are undeserving of their pensions

It's an undeniable fact that they were represented.

A pension is part of a person's pay, which is received at a later date. It is earned income. Why do you believe it is permissible to cut someone's pay, after the work has been performed?

How would private sector workers react if their employer decided to distribute the pension fund as stock dividends, because shareholders believed the employs did not deserve pensions?

Do you believe in reneging on debts? Why not stop paying your mortgage and tell the lender you don't think the house you've lived in for 20 years was worth the money?

The taxpayers owe a bill. What do you do when someone owes you money and decides you aren't worth their concern?

government workers are over paid, fat and lazy.

they do not deserve a pension as they do not perform any work or service

Does this include the 19 dead firemen? Do you want to take the pensions from their children?

You do no work and perform no service. How do you live?

I could never work in government, I have too much self value and pride.

Who would hire you?

A secured bond holder is holding a secured debt instrument, that can be enforced in court. If there is no money that's one thing, but if there are any assets owned by the city the secured bond holder has first call on those assets that is what "secures" his bond.

Is that a yes or a no? Do you advocate stealing pensions to pay corporate debt?

those in government don't care about anyone. the only thing that they care about is themselves and sticking it to the tax payer...

personally, I think most government workers are allergic to 'work'

I'm in favor of tearing up unsustainable contracts negotiated by corrupt politicians. They represent an ill gotten gain. I don't support government stealing from private citizens.

You didn't address my question, but selfishly you presented your own.

government workers want...demand....more! the only thing they care about is themselves. selfish fucktards

time to make those in government pay their fair share

So you figure a man should work 30 years and then have his pension taken away because you don't agree with the way it was done. I got that.

Your question:
What logic requires the secured bond holders take a haircut against the ill gotten gains resulting from corrupt politicians negotiating unsustainable contract benefits?

The same logic which people take to court to enforce a legally binding contract. Were the pensions illegal? Has anyone been charged with a crime?

The only crime here is attempted piracy.

Piracy by the government. Everyone else should be required to take a haircut before any secured bondholder, period.

those in government want ZERO accountability or responsibility...after all if a person was able to have a real job, why the fuck would they want to be some dipshit government worker?
