determination of adult content

Suppose a person wanted to dabble with a homepage/site which would be mostly open and appropriate to the public but maybe 10% of it would qualify for "adult" content (an erotic story or two). Does the site then become Adult? Is it necessary to signify which sections are "adult"? How do They determine what is adult/obscene and what is 'allowable'?
Just wondering.
In order to spare yourself a legal problem (or possible site banning) I would first check with your server owner and see if its even okay, I know some are kinda fidgety about such things.

If it's okay, you MIGHT be able to get away with a disclaimer or two here and there, or a disclaimer by the stories, or pictures or whatever else may or may not be posted. Perhaps you will have to put in an adult section....your host may even require an AVS be used.....

I think for the most part they use the same rules for sexual harrassment in the work place....if it's something that a reasonable person would consider to be sexual in nature, there might be an "18 Only" clause deal to put in....but then, like I said, communicate with your host and see what's what.

This whole thing is so fucked. Sex is basic. You can't fully participate as a member of the species, for fuck sack, with out having sex.

How can anything so goddam banal be obscene unless life itself is?

Speaking of adult content, I saw a couple of threads on the other boards about an update to Lit's policy. I read through but couldn't figure out if pictures of genitals and of acts of sex had always been prohibited on Lit or if this is a new thing. Anyone know what's going on?
