Now and again I switch my desktop image. This morning I've put up a photo that I took whilst away and I figure the only way I'll stop staring at it is by putting it into words. lol

Good Morning

There was a moment today
when I saw you in the light
creeping through the cottage.
I opened the curtain

and realised you were cloud
embracing morning. Cloud
settling on snow. High
country farming hidden

in the dawn heralded
by bellbirds, broken
only by the blue day
and beeches below.

Okay, I admit it. It's the default Windows XP desktop.

glowing orbs
of comic ghastliness
bright white fangs fixed
in a pleasant manic grin
no fear
in the inky blackness
smile you bring out
from within

fire it up
fire it up
one two
one two
push up
push up

<grin...the theme song for the show that sits as wall paper on my puter!

The Unit~

it is new...

I normally have a picture of a tiger laying relaxed with crossed front legs <grin
but the main enjoyment I get is out of the multi colored gold-fish that swim around as my screen-saver <grinin'

Aotearoa - The Land of the Long White Cloud (Aotearoa means "Land of the long white cloud", the name given to New Zealand by the Maori. The Maori are the indigenous people of New Zealand.)

Aotearoa series - A Cloud

Your train travels from head
to toe of the country,
a white veil
laced to criss-cross the land
to gather, to unite
peoples, a moiety
shrouded in your shield.

got to work on this lots more - i like the sound of shield and the image it conveys but it doesn't go with the wedded idea.

Your train travels
from head
to toe
of the country,
a veil
lacing the land,
gathering, uniting
peoples. A moiety
shrouded in white.
